Hi Ricardo,
CHAOS has simply lost its orientation when everything turned off. It
keeps its last position in a special file, and this file had no chance
to be saved during the unexpected shutdown. When orientation is lost,
CHAOS may think that the scope is at soft limit and then won't allow you
to move it normally. You have to restore its orientation by 1) manually
placing the scope at parking position and 2) in CHAOS, going to Manual
Mode, then to the Control System Settings dialog, Alignment tab, and
pressing "Start from park pos" and OK. This gives CHAOS an idea of where
the scope approximately is, and this can be done at daytime. After that,
you can do the normal alignment as per my recent instructions.
More important is what's wrong with focuser (and, possibly, camera as
well). First of all, please double check that all cables are still
connected. If so, when you turn the power on, does the camera fan begin
making its noise as usual? If it doesn't, the worst scenario is that
something could be damaged by an overvoltage during the blackout. What
was the kind of the problem with electricity, and was there a chance of
overvoltage, how do you think? If, instead, the camera appears to be
alive, please turn everything on and then look at the list of USB
devices in Device Manager and send us the screenshot. Both FLI camera
and focuser should be there, and no "unknown devices" and exclamation
marks should appear. This may help us to figure out what's wrong there.
Cheers,
V.K.
